we tested this but found that the pumps didnt like it and they were always seeming to reach there shut off pressure. we have set a few reels up with 50mtrs of 8mm then 50mtrs of 5mm. works well and i know a few people that use this method.

Thanks. Just the reply i was after!  :D

I have a connection joint on my 8mm hose too .

Cars seem to have a homing beacon for it. A few have been cracked being driven over!

So just to clarify, you use the £100 orange - 100m - 5mm hose ?

Straight into pole or do you have connectors?
And same hose inside pole?

Thanks dude

yeah 100 mtrs on hose reel to pole tap and pole as got yellow pole hose on which I loop on to other side of tap , the only conection I use is a hose to wfp fitting as you need this to reduce from garden hose type to pole hose size , ive also got a reel with 100 mtrs of yellow pole hose from alex which is done in the same way .
