Thank you for such quick responses guys. I am looking on Google to try and source some reasonably priced revision Material.

Just wondering about a £99.00 revision and test package but does seem expensive tho.

Dependant on how much site work you do and who you do it for the CSCS card is changing.

I and at least one other need to have a supervisors card for our works, without it the site wont let you on!!

No staff can work on site without a supervisor carrying a supervisors CSCS card. Don't know what the cut off date is but it definitely coming in!!!

The best revision material i can recommend is the cscs test book from ebay. Sorry, i dont have a link. I bought one before i did my test, it has all the questions you can be asked, with all the answers. Easy. Its only a tenner from memory.

Rob,

Thats interesting, ill have to have a look into it. cheers.

I am being told it is a two day course @ £240.00 per person and I have tried to work out which card it is, my money is on one of the red cards that says supervisor

It is definitely coming from the principal contractors I work with and is going to be a necessity moving forward. How it affects everyone else might be worth a phone call to CSCS

Mine has just expired end of March. Do I need to book a test or just a card?

Lee the qualification is only valid for the life of the card.

You must do the test and apply for the card again

renewed mine in december, white card under builders cleaner category.
None of my contractors have ever mentioned we need a supervisor card.
You can get the book from waterstones.

Don't waste your money on training if all your after is the operatives.

Here you go: -

http://www.whsmith.co.uk/Products/Health-Safety-and-Environment-Test-for-Operatives-and-Specialists-GT-10013-3rd-New-edition+DVDROM+9781857513455

We have never had any one fail. A five year old could pass!

The CD lets you go through all the questions and also lets you sit through mock tests.

Test centres are stricter than they used to be so put on your best undies ready for the strip search  ;D

or download it for free like I did...

I can email the iso disk to anyone that needs it, just use daemon tools to mount it on your pc, takes 20 secs.

The test itself, piece of p got all my guys through it no problems. Definately worth getting if your serious about commercial work.
