Employing Staff PAYE
«

I've got someone lined up to work around 16hrs or so a week so will be around £80ish/week which will be under the NI & Tax amount
Ive got a contract sorted but need to set up paying them, is it easy enough to put them through PAYE to inform HMRC,
Does it cost anything to set up ie a monthly payment reguardless if they dont earn enough for Tax and NI
Is it easy to maintain or is there an easier way to pay staff without PAYE and declare it to HMRC in a different way
Thanks
Ashley

Thanks yes I did have a look and see about now every time you pay you have to send off rather than yearly.
Do you know if its easy to set up currently or the best free software to use

We use Sage and have yet to update the software so as to process at this point I can't comment.
We used to just notify HRMC at the end of each tax year as required. As you've seen this is now after each pay run. I assume Sage will do this for us automatically but worst case it's just a matter of filing via HMRC website.
Follow the earlier link I posted for employers which if you look through will answer all your questions: -
