First time I have been tricked like this.
Sent out lot's of leaflets last week and had pretty good response. One lady with a four bed detached asked for confirmation of the price via email. Gave her the price, said I would do it on Monday but if the price was any different I would call her first. "That's fine" was the reply.
Cleaned them today and left the slip. Got home and there were four more responses from the leaflets, great, plus one from her going mental, saying I did not have permission to clean her Windows and she would not be paying. Also an email to the same effect.
Obviously mental

thats the sort of stuff that really gets under my skin , really annoying. I'll be honest I sort of expect to be tricked by everyone so before I start a new job/ first clean I'll knock the door and say hello n something like 'still ok to go ahead?' - if it's a booked in clean I've not had anyone say no it's not ok, works for me, reverse psychcology type thing

thomas higgins.
It took me twenty minutes to clean the windows Bob. I know what your saying is probably right but after a few non payers and wasters over the years, I have learnt that the only person it affects is me. Used to get me going no end if someone didn't pay but it happens so rarely, I just accept it as part of the job. It might happen twice a year, three times at the most.

Doesn't hurt to try one e-mail back reminding her that you have confirmation in writing that she wished to have windows clean, reminding her of your payment terms etc etc. Personally, I think it's a try on and she will pay if she knows she won't get away with it!

The next window cleaner to come along will get the exact same treatment
as did the one before you.
These messers know all the tricks and court action wont scare them.
Unfortunately we are no longer allowed to put scum like this in the stocks
or have them flogged.
