Mains powered sprayers
«

are these any good?
http://www.carpet-cleaning-equipment.co.uk/multi-spray-battery-mains-powered-electric-sprayer-p-321.html
I like my Gloria but pumping on big jobs can be a pain in the arse (i'm sure there's a few jokes in there).
These mains powered sprayers look the business.

I've fancied one of those in the past (sprayer, not a pumping pain in the arse). Don't know if it would be a hassle though, they only hold 5l. They're rechargeable now, which I think is a new thing for these?
Why not one of the window cleaners warehouse like loads of others use? That's what I went for, and I can't fault it.

Is this the one everyone uses?
http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/index.php?option=com_aceshop&route=product/product&filter_name=big%20boy&product_id=4031&Itemid=73
I didn't realise it was 22ltrs.
I've heard a few people saying it developes leaks or goes dodgy after a year of use. Also, how long does the charge last?

I think they've just recently changed. Mine is about 6 months old - I've charged it twice, and it's still got about 60% left in the battery.

Not any real help in terms of choosing a mains powered sprayer - but for what its worth here's what I do now - ref the WCW ones I looked at these for commercials like restaurants, pubs but could not make my mind up and ended up not buying one
then found I had a large job to do so to test a theory I set up a prochem portable with a 135psi shurflo in the back of the van for use as a pre-spray machine - I have a hydroforce injection but it often does not work properly - also I now dump cold leftover prespray into the portable solution tank and not waste any if I am making up a new hot batch for my pump-up (its a hydroforce pump-up btw one of the best in a long line of metal body PU sprayers I have bought over the years)
Like using a hydroforce injection on the tm you have to lay out the solution hose and move it when you machine agitate - have not found any loss of pressure over long runs and you have a totally reliable way of putting down lots of prespray - best and most reliable way of applying prespray I have ever had also good for scotchgard - you just have to run an electric line to van - makes you realise if you look at a job and think 'erm that should look cleaner' that you probably didnt put enough prespray down...

The WCW sprayers are very good for the price.
The only potential problem is if any spillage goes down the side into the base.
You have to be pretty heavy-handed to do that though, as the opening to pour into is more than big enough.

Tony, the yellow ones are the new type (not sure if anyone on here has the new ones?), the older style are bright orange. Get a signwriting company to wrap it for you?

If you do order one, make sure you tell them its for carpet cleaning, otherwise they take the spray lance off.

Ask the nice lady, when you ring up for one, about
spare parts.
I did and I got a sprayer and spare hose, lance and
half a dozen different nozzles.
Got mine in November and since initial charge I have
so far not had to charge it.
It's tons quicker...thought they were 18L though.
