Winpro, what's Alex's view on this?
I have a couple of Xtremes that have gone a bit curly wurly that I don't use anymore. Maybe I'll straighten them out and get snipping. How much do you take off - about 1cm?
I wish Alex would have them manufactured but the demand would have to be there. This is one of those cases where you have to do it & use one to appreciate the difference it makes.
If you have a Xtreme medium mixed DT, then just trim the outer white rows down so that they are "just" longer than the inner black rows. It's probably about 10/12mm I would think yes.
When you look at the bristle profile of the tips along it's length, a flat or concave profile is MUCH more effective in my experience than a convex one- This picture will show what that means, the black profile is concave while the standard white is convex.
