Vivaro I have as image is everything and anything after 05 with these gearboxes is now sorted, show some class ;D

They have a reputation for rust don't they? Is tat sorted now with later models? I think I heard it was.
No you are thinking of the Transit vans,Vivaros are galvanised so rust free ;D

No Im not thinking of the Transits.

Mercedes did have a reputation for rust. Thats a fact.

I am asking if that is now solved and no longer an issue so long as you dont buy an old mercedes.?

Transits and Merc's are both prone to rust, just look around.

I believe rust is relative.

If you clean and maintain your van, it wont rust as fast.

I looked after my transit, it got to 10 years old without alot of rust, I then neglected it, and in a year it really went down hill.

With the new sprinter, ill be looking after it again and hopefully will get 10 years out of it,

Wether its galvanized or not is a much bigger factor when it comes to rust .

Me I'd go for transit , but to be fair if its new and your gonna
Change it every 5 years it won't matter which you choose.
Chose the one that you like.
If you're gonna keep it long term buy the transit.

Looks nice tho!
