Found out today that over 1500 people were fined for leafleting
without a licence in the U.K. last year.
Done a bit of digging and found out that 27 local authorities have banned leafleting
with more to follow soon.
Under the...Clean neighbourhoods and enviroment act 2005.
Private companies have been contracted to enforce it.
You dont want to know what some of the licences are costing.
Blimey. The Post Office is going to be in serious trouble then as their postmen often deliver leaflets through my door.
I wonder if anyone has told the PO they are breaking the law.
And, yes, I do want to know what some of the licenses (what licenses?) are costing just as I'd like to know where that bit of rubbish information came from. And what 'digging' have you been doing?
It's all well and good to post something that is, maybe, obviously just some media half truth but at least post where you got that info from with a link.
Can't wait for the next installment of 'more to follow'.
Private companies enforcing it? Oh jeepers. Run for the hills.
Cheers
