So it's just that you're trying to second guess your custards?

So, you get a phonecall "how much to clean me panels mate?"................. well that depends, have you paid for them yourself? Do you rent your roof out?
"why mate?"
Well I have two different prices you see.  ???

There is a flaw in your pricing steve.
House number eighteen has free installation, house number nineteen has paid for their units. How can you possibly give two different prices for the same number of panels?

Or have I misunderstood you?
House 18 does not have to think about re-couping their money as much house 19 who paid for their panels. House 19 knows they are out of pocket until about year 11. in their mind, by paying for their panels to be cleaned at a high price, it may take them longer to get their money back on the panels. house 18 may be quids in from the off. Therefore, you MAY be able to charge this customer more because they may be willing to pay more.
It's just a way of making an extra £5 or £10 for exactly the same work. House 18 is more likely to pay it.
god help us ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll

Like I said, the proof is in the pudding.

House nineteen might think 'If I'm to get my money back on these things I'm going to have to keep them spotless to be sure they work to their optimum performance.

Meanwhile down at number eighteen they're thinking 'Didnt cost me a penny, easy come easy go. Who gives a hoot. They can rust for all I care'.

So, where do we go with this thing from here Steve ;-)

You don't know what the phrase second guessing means?

Price em as you want and the clean em as you want. Go as high or low with the price as you want. make it as big or small a part of your business as you want. No malice! Whatever is best for each individual. :)

I know what second guessing is, but not the custards bit.  ;D

The first rule of solar panel cleaning is Solar Steve is correct and everybody else is wrong. If you disagree with this statement then Steve will do some number crunching and you will also be wrong. Number crunching is first last and everything when it comes to SPC (solar panel cleaning to those less educated)  ;)

So does this mean i can charge more on upvc windows fitted to a council house than i can a private house that took out a loan on their new windows. . My price is the same no matter what the custys situation is weather its windiws or solar pannels

Do solar panels really need cleaning?

I'm sure I read somewhere that the rain is enough especially as we live in the  UK and get plenty >:(

if rain was enough - people wouldnt use window cleaners either, but they do because they still get dirty.
can you imagining not washing your car windscreen for a year even if it was just parked up the drive.  :)

Not to stand up for Steve but aren't many of use pricing your window cleaning depending on the house cost??? Ie well. 3 bed semi cost 350k here so ill charge £30 but up north it's £180kso you can only get £12?????

All though I'm not saying I agree has I price on how long the job takes and not if they have a 1 million house.
