I don't care what anyone at the door thinks.
Do you not get annoyed when you get cold called?
Nope, and I learned years ago never to second guess what people are thinking. The point Mick made is it's a great way to build fast and mostly compact work. I'm building a business or adding to a business. Why on earth would I worry about what someone thinks about me knocking on their door? I'd hate to have to drive from every job to the next, or move my vehicle every job I go to.
I stopped worrying about whether custies want their windows done in the rain etc. Who cares? If they don't want their door knocked or windows cleaned in rain, so what? Next door and someone else
does want it.
I think I see this the same way Mick and a lot of others do. Takes real bottle for some of these guys to stick away that much rejection. Hats off to 'em IMO. I don't need guts, I enjoy canvassing, but full respect to those who hate it but do it anyway.
