I dont do it.

I would be up for a dual and would take you up on the deal, BUT and this is a BIG BUT, not if it was for your own personal round. Reason being its too in your favour, your round, your patch, you judging who the winner is  . I hearby suggest you come to Essex for a few days over the next three weeks.

Its not a bad pick up rate at all, to be fair. In extreme weather I have a golf ball that i use to knock the door, rather than my ice cold knuckles

The worst day ever, flippen heck theres been a few. I remember being out all day and had to argue for scraps from other cleaners. Things like backs only or YESSSSSSSSSSSS please just that window above conservatory roof. Then I had a rather nice indian chap tell me if we do his £30 filthy house for £20 he tell all his neighbours all his driving school clients and his massive family to use us and this conversation seemed to last an hour. All the time Im thinking ONE OFF menace. Took the job he said thanks absolute one off. That was a day that nearly made me quit. Think I got paid £14 that day spent £20 on food and travel

But the ultimate worst day since Ive been doing this was the first time I got ripped off it was £700 totally out the blue absolute heartbreaker

essex will be fine, will have to be within working distance for me though to do the work. Or we could just hit a random area so would be totally fair and sell the work to someone else when we are done and winner gets 75% and loser 25% of the 2 clean value.
after we will see who's the daddy..... Lol.

How can you grumble at 2 new customers from an hours knocking.
This year i've canvassed 2 whole Saturdays without picking up a single job.
Picked up recently though thank god, had about 10 new ones last week or so.

Its just a little grumble !!!

I just have higher expectations when im canvassing thats all .
My best to date was £100 in 2 hrs knocking on my own and to be honest
That round on its own is growing steadily each month so i think a big push is needed for that area next time that part of my round is due .

I love canvassing  esp when you get a yes at the very start.

Fell out of the habit the last 18 months as too busy actually cleaning windows .... employed a canvasser at one point but didnt do what I asked so didnt last too long then another one broke his ankles and couldnt work for 8 weeks so kinda forgot about it.

Canvassing is like magic for growing your business and in the short term nothing betters it ... if done properley theres no reason for a massive drop out of customers ... maybe im lucky but rekon ive still got over 90% of anything ive canvassed.

Been dropping leafets for a while but did some door knocking other day close to an apartment block we do and got 3 within 20 minutes which is good as the apartments took most of the day now got 4 houses as well (3 canvassed and 1 already) so for compacting your work canvassing is great.

Like some say you gotta be in the mood for it though however I think of it as a £12 job on the monthly is really worth an extra £144 and 10 of those ... well you can do the sums  :)

got 2 aims to build my round by 200 customers before end of August and to build a new round a few miles down road to me in rural Chester of about 2 to 3 days worth of work which will then be sold off come September to finance a crap winter. ..... may lead to me offering my canvassing services out to others ??

You will do that easy if you stay focused bud. Way before august, drag yourself and another out 3 times a week withought fail and you could possibly hit your 200 customers in 2/3 months, by august you could have 400 new customers. Onwards and upwards.

I have never bought anything on my doorstep. People who try to sell me anything on my doorstep, whether it's windows, kitchens, or subscriptions to newspapers are told to go away.

I would never try to sell anything at someone's doorstep.
