Generator Question
« on: March 09, 2013, 12:48:00 pm »
Need a new generator. preferably 5kva as i need to run the steamer off it and my 2.5 just hasn't got enough guts.

Seen a couple on eBay, but just wondered if anyone has one laying around they wouldn't mind selling. Don't really want to spend over £400 delivered.

Petrol is fine as it wont be getting used day in day out.

I have a small 2.5 honda genny that ill be getting rid of if i get a bigger one, so could PX with some cash.

Most oils have detergent in them after the black engine syndrone. Any mineral oil that says suitable for diesel engines will be fine - standard oil 10-40.

I was thinking of changing the sockets. Is that all it is? just remove the plate and wire a new socket on?

Are the plugs powered the same as the british ones? same wires go to the same pins?
