Lost out on a contract I have wanted for years today.

I "LOVE" the place, with a passion, I have always wanted the contract, got the chance to try for it today and didn't get it. 8(

My heart would have done the place FOR FREE, but my stupid brain made me stick to my guns. I gave a slightly cheaper than usual price knowing they are cost cutting and looking for a bargain, but I still lost out.

What would you have done ??

I've quoted for one like that; OCS had the contract; this place got in every quote they could from other window cleaners; then bartered with OCS who ended up doing it at half what we quoted it for; I know this because I clean the windows of a lady who works there.

my brain was calculating a price that i thought i could live with my heart made me offer a bit lower than to them.

i didnt get it but to do it for less than what i put forward i know, i would have ended up resenting the job and hiking price and losing it anyway as they were orice shoppers.

think of your finances short and long term - you dont want to be a busy fool earning peanuts.

That's my BRAIN's comprehension of it too. I understand and agree 100% with what your saying. HEART on the other hand has made md drink a bottle of wine so i'm off to bed!
