Hi Andrew

Basically i am after a new pole 18-24ft I have had 2 of Ionics 18ft glass fibre in the last year and they just wear away to quickly and the clamps stop gripping. I have seen on this forum the gardiner poles is a good place to buy one and on there website they say that there glass fibre poles are not to be mixed up with ionics multipole. When i bought my pole from Ionics I don't think they did a multipole at the time and wondered are these cheaper then there standerd glass fibre poles that i have been useing from them.

I have slightly deveated from my initial question (sorry) but i think i can get a 24ft pole from gardener poles for the same price as an 18ft from ionics I just wondered are these multipoles from Ionics cheaper then there glass fibre poles and i in what way are they different.

Hope this makes sence

Thanks for your time

Paul

Ionics prices went up last week, think the guy said by 3 %. For a 18ft multipole they quoted me 107.95 plus the vat.

Hi

Yep Nice and clean is correct, £107.95  + £15 postage then plus the VAT.

I have 3 18ft Multi Poles, the good thing about them is, they are nearly half the weight of the standard fibre glass poles as the Ionics weigh in at 2.65KG

I must admit, I have had problems with them and only recently had to strip them right down and clean them up, but they work fine again now.

Hope that helps

Andrew

I might be wrong but I think that VAT should be added before postage as I think postage is free of VAT - unless the regs changed at some point.

Has anybody actually used the poles from gardinerpoles and are they any different from Ionics versions apart from the price?
