Have you used any fluoropolymer products ?
Chris
Very seldom at the end of the day We are Natural Stone Renovation Specialists and ultimately Fluoropolymers work by changing the the make up of the stone. So essentially I see them as a type of vitrification product. There also seems to be some confusion as some say they are Breathable and others disagree. Have you tried them? If so What brands?

I have been using them mainly on sandstone and to help repel chewinggum/staining etc. As far i as i am aware they do not really come under the classification of "vitrification" (as i under stand it).
To me the main attraction is the breathability.... hence there application on the likes of Indian sandstone etc ...it's all about ease of application and longevity of the sealed surface ( before re-application).
In hindsight i suppose really we are working in two different areas of the stone restoration business. I am working with the cheapest variety/grade of imported stone,in less than idea conditions with contractors who do not full understand the parameters in which jobs can be successfully undertaken.
As far as "brands" go my mate makes these products up in his garden shed from stuff he gets sent from the italians.
Kevin would you care to test some against other products i could send you some ?
