Fresh smelling carpets
« on: March 02, 2013, 09:05:04 am »
What products do you use to make rooms/carpets smell nice/fresh?
Are there any pre sprays or any products you spray in the air??
Cheers

Just add an anti bacterial / deodouriser to your solution tank, I personally add some to tank & some with prespray that way you get a nice fresh smell straight away from the prespray and  you get a long lasting fresh smell from the bit in the tank.
Try Kill Odor Citrus from Chemspec

The product that I associated with smelling 'fresh' was Nemisis Odour Neutraliser, but I dont know what the fragrance was, it just smelt fresh.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Is there actually some product that lasts more than an hour or so.

Things like Odour Fresh smell lovely but they dont last.

Yeah, and why is it bad smells you cant get rid of.  ;D

Sometimes its your brain turning it off. Ask someone else who comes in and they smell it.

Think Odours come from diffrent bacteria, so treatment to the bacteria may be required.
Otherwise its just masking the odour for a while.

Think you're right there Paul, got to get at the source, no point trying to cover it up.

Prochem Odour Fresh is the one I use. Add to pre-spray and in the tank when appropriate.

Nemsis as a deoderisor would become very expensive!!

As Paul said, NI-712 is good. Its also expensive but lasts a long time. You only need one or two sprays per room.

Kill Odor Citrus has got a great smell I think. Very citrusy, but again would use this on every job! Just when you need to remove bad odour i.e. urine, vomit, sour milk etc etc

I used Odour Clear in the past and still have some on the shelf. Customers do love the smell, it's a bit like like bubble gum from when I were a lad.

The main thing that put me off was its colour, it's a very dark liquid. The other reason I go with Odour Fresh is that I tend to use Prochem products.
