Rug cleaning - deciding on a price level
« on: March 02, 2013, 02:06:04 am »
I've just signed a contract which opens up the potential for off site rug cleaning. This is being picked up in another county and I'd like to tap into that income stream if possible. My involvement would be solely as a facilitator, offering the service to my existing clients and any new ones I generate but with a 3rd party undertaking the work.

I see a whole range of prices from other companies and need to think through the economics. I'd like a fairly simple and transparent pricing matrix ideally.

As for location, we're near Guildford, Surrey.

I get the odd rug from as far as Guildford and charge from £25 per sq metre, including collection/delivery (Minimum charge of 3 sq metres)

Factors are: fibre, construction, age, wear and even country of origin ....... these all decide on method of cleaning, solutions and cost.

Feel free to bell me if you need anymore ideas  ;)

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
