Has any one entered a speed racing contest before and if so what speed did you get?

I had a race the once on the m6 from blackpool in 1998 in my xr2 I managed a top speed of 125 mph
Which was quite good at the time for an xr2 2as well chuffed .

I'm not interested in speed or any other drug for that matter.

My wife though, she says that speed is all I'm interested in. Can't think what she must mean by that comment.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Whats it a speed contest off? Is it meant to be a contest of how quickly someone can clean a pane of glass or is it how quickly someone can make a half hearted effort at pretending to clean varying parts of a piece of glass. They missed more than they covered.

Whats it meant to prove?

Its a contest for the fastest, you are deducted points off your time for missing stuff as pointed out by yourself. So there time will be way lower if they have made an ass of it. All these guys can do, is compete for the fastest. If they want to go further then they can challenge somebody like Terry Burrows Worlds Fastest under the strict guidance and attendance of the World Guinness Book of Records :)
