We are getting this set up in the next week.

I wondered who else does this?

Must have. If you go with the right provider you can set up recurring card payments. Handy.

those that use already, what are the fees? Is there a set up cost and how much per transaction? Is there a bill at then end of each month or is the cut taken at time of processing?

X% for credit card payments and £0.XX for debit card payments.

All invoiced monthly.

The payment is processed through the Cardsave website. If you get a customer who pays over the phone with a card, you process the transaction, when the payment has gone through ask them if they want it to come off their card automatically every month. If they agree you set it up through the website. I set mine to come off on the first of the month for ease of processing. When the recurring payment goes through you get an email confirming whether the payment was successful.

I treat them pretty much the same as standing orders, although unlike standing orders the length of time a recurring card payment goes through is set by the expiry date on the card (I assume). I have not been doing it that long so have not had a card expire yet.

I don't know anything about paytrader but the guy who does my software integrated the cardsave payment terminal into my round software and he said their technical support was excellent.

Hello Soaper

Is it a variable charge depending on how much you use it?

No, but don't pay what they ask. Everything is negotiable.

Everything is negotiable.

Except window cleaning prices.

I'm not 100% sure without looking through the invoices to be honest. I got them to reduce the per transaction figure as I figured that we'd be putting loads of transactions through, mostly debit cards.
