« on: February 21, 2013, 07:33:07 pm »
just like to say a big thanks to john and his team of professional canvasser for getting me a set amount of residential new work,

has you know john is a national contractor who is now turning to other window cleaning businesses ideas.so as a bit of a guniea pig john ask if,i would like his team to go out and get me a new set amount off work.he wanted to see how his new staff would work and wanted my fed back on how i got on with the team leader, and what the work is like,(just started the 1st cleans)so need to give fed back over the next few wks

it nice to know that someone can see a opening and got the balls todo it.i know john and his team will work to the highest of standards, has it the only way he know.and i also know that this will go from strenght to strenght

thanks john

What opening is that Franky?
Canvassing is not reinventing the wheel is it, or am I missing something here?

after talking to john and his guys, they are hoping to roll this out over the country.but a more professional manner than the ones before.also take it the one step forward.-

building up the work in area then if i got this right then sub out like they do with national contacts,
(dont quote me on that yet,bit more to it than that)

has i said i was a guniea pig for his team so i ve done well ;) ;) ;)

Result for you mate.

What I always struggle with is the market is one size, some use us, some do not and some are just crap that gets picked up and then dropped. The ones that use us are generally quite loyal and pass our names on to their friends or we leaflet and call back or are called back, but the customer buys into you then.
This is where I feel canvassing companies will always struggle.

I dont think they could even price cheaply to gain the work as it may be hard to sell, so I don't see them driving down prices.
Time will tell eh?

Hopefully they will drive up prices and every proper window cleaning business will benefit. Its a gamble? if they canvass a round and then sub it out to a half wit ( if its cheap) then it will come crashing down.
Hopefully they will price to the area. Respect for having a go.

Is he subbing it to you then Franky? Given it to you for free? Or have you parted with some well earned?
Be nice to know the in's & out's  :)

Subbing out across the country?
Look forward to those £5 cleans inside & out then  ;D

A few months ago this firm quoted one of our commercials.
http://www.ukcommercialcleaning.co.uk/
Thankfully they didnt get it, the building manager did not like the fact they were national.

right johns team got me £500 p/week or £26k a year,i paid him £6750 which is 3months down payments and a  extra £2k,if you keep it 12months,after the 12months the price varies but does come down a fair bit,and is worked out on a percentage.
they do and well do spot checks to ensure that the work is being cleaned,

johns team leader/sales guy is a slim barry ;D ;D

looking forward to see how other get on.

Franky, I don't mean to be picky but you have paid more than 3xs the monthly, which is fine as your happy but as a guniea pig for a new venture, it aint no favour in my eyes

For 6k when i was canvassing for others id have got you 3k of work 36k a year and be yours for ever not just a year. seriosly i dont like to see people having the p taken out of them. You shouldnt pay anywhere near that much!! Your just making someone else rich for there minimal input of supplying the work.
