What are the benefits of Saema?
I've contacted Safety Aide for clarification on a couple of points.

I used to lecture in construction, (I keep meaning to dig out some of that H&S stuff) and taught ladder safety, working at height and a few other (perhaps) relevant bits. Now thinking that I might include stuff like that too.

SAEMA as an association should set certain standards amongst the members.
Training would be part of SAEMA's remit.
There is a lot of improvements needed in cradle training and I would like to see it move towards the IPAF route.

I would like to send your CERTS to some of my contacts and let them investigate if thats OK with you?
The quicker we get training providers out of the industry that are not qualified and or experienced the better.

There is however always room for good companies.

Regards

Andy

Thanks. I get that, just that there's only 25 companies registered to them from what I can see-I assume they'll grow.
And who is to say one company knows more than another? A person could have more experience than another-therefore be better at a task-but not have the piece of paper to prove it.
Unfortunately the world is becoming full of box ticking exercises.
When I was teaching a few lads could tick every box and get the NVQ3 in C&J under my teaching but I wouldn't want them working for me. A few, on paper, wouldn't make the cut, on paper, but I'd choose them every time.
I did look into your course as I think the paperwork would be beneficial but I was told I would have to pay for it myself and other things have to take president at the minute.
Safety Aide are a good company. It's run by a mate of mine. They do more fire risk than anything else but know what they're doing.
Prefer if you didn't while I await answers tbh.
