had a few calls picked up a nice 200quid fascia and conny clean for tmoz

one of worst states of conservatory ive seen so hoping it will be good image for photographer

prob picked up 5 jobs so far but to be fair the area is swamped with cleaners but mainly trad cleaners

Hi Richy

I went on the BWCA  Trad course, and it was fine for me as it got me a certificate, the membership and I picked up some tips as well. But I think it is more beneficial for Sole Traders or those who have or are looking to start their own business, especially when on the course you are told there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to earn £50-60 an hour.!

i know the self rescue sounds a bit far fetched but looking at going more into builders cleans over next couple of years using cherry pickers etc so it is handy to have

I think if your employing then any kind of course that would show you equipped your workers with the apropriate skills to carry out their job safely, I think the qcf and some kind of manual handling would suffice.
I think it's all about protecting yourself from future litigation these days.

depends what sort of work they are doing, if they are going to use cherrypickers or scaffolding towers then they must go on IPAF and PASMA courses as for the others that is more a personal choice and whether you feel capable of doing the other training to a reasonable standard in house, if you intend to use various chemicals then maybe a safe use and handling of chemical course as this is only touched upon on the NVQ

would n't go into builders cleans they are one big headache.  If you need ipaf or pasma, get them trained when they need it, otherwise they might have a nice qualification and be able to use it for someone else if they decide(or get forced) to change jobs

I would initially question their experience in cradle training.

Suspended access companies carry out cradle training; I would really expect them to be members of SAEMA. I have done you a link to SAEMA

I also cant see the modules you completed as training modules on their website?

On that basis and I would question that all three would be completed on the same day, unless this is a very basic working at height awareness course. Either way this certification would be misleading.

If you are using these as grounds to operate access equipment I would recommend you contact IPAF and ask their views, also contact SAEMA who are the association for suspended access.
