What single item of window cleaning equipment has been your best purchase since 2010 and why?

i have a few contenders.
slx poles, but i had used them before 2010, never the less a great everyday tool
fogwash,  a great water heater, never had a problem with it, again used everyday
little giant pro telescopic ladder, i use this ladder all the time, for cleaning con roofs, stradling gates, access to flat roofs etc.
decisions  decisions, one of them 3 ???

SLX; I use it all the time.  Prior to that I had shoulder rotor cuff problems (extremely painful) and I haven't had it since with the SLX.

So good even Wor Lass can use it and she's a little skinny running woman.

Yes I have also purchased a 25ft SLX since 2010 and it is very good.
And it does make the working day easier due to it's lightness compared to a heavier pole.
So can potentially help you to work a longer day and earn more.
However I have one negative against it and that is the clamps, I don't like them.

Im thinking my choice could go to the Wagtail squeegee.
I would say it has speeded up my trad cleaning by 25% which surprised me really.
But having one tool in the hand for scrubbing and squeegeeing really does save a lot of time.
And for around £20 I think it's a bargain tool to have.

Apart from going wfp it has got to be the Mark 1 SL-X. Worked with it for about 4,5 years every day. Wouldn't be where I am today without it. Gone Xtreme now though, even better.

25ft SLX with carbon gooseneck and xtreme brushes.

it makes wfp a breeze with a lot less strain

buying 100m of microbore, hosereel and a tank instead of a trolley.

I reckon the tool of the decade is loads of window cleaners with wfp who think they can just turn up, charge a good price and think the whole job can be done in minutes by giving each window a very quick once over and little or no rinsing.

They buy their flashy vans all kitted out and think they've got it made and the lolly will simply roll in.

Also, a big thanks to some on this forum who promote that idea. I'm sure some of the wfp companies appreciate it as well.

This last year especially, I've picked up some really good work that had been done previously by window cleaners doing an appalling job.

A previously dissatisfied customer quite often turns out to be almost a perfect customer when the job's done properly.
