would you recomend having a pair of these ladders handy in boot of car,      maplins have sale for 3.7m  ladders @ £79.    thought id give them a try ,  seem a bit wobbly,     got a few weeks to try out ,     always get refund if not what i expect,      then get a pair from ebay    cheaper.   how do you rate them,   need for quick acess for flat roofs,   low ledges,  garage roofs,    could be handy when wfp cleaning and not putting alloys on roofrack.  you dont see many on here or for sale cheaply on ebay.     must be ok.    id get the ones with the feet on ladder leg  base

we had the ebay ones - lasted about 6 months - they were really handy but just not upto the rigours
of working outside on a regular basis
be warned our just started to collapse on one side for no reason or warning so i's put them inro the dangerous
catagory now.

or at least buy top quality item.

I have a set,not ebay or maplins pretty good quality but would a agree they dont seem to be made for continuous out door use but if can get the little giant ladders from midland ladders

Yes. Excellent for occasional flat roof or balcony access and well worth buying but for more regular use it's no substitute for a fixed ladder.

bought today, going back 2morrow,    3.7m ,  didnt feel comfortable on them,   nearly squashed my fingers bringing them down, so easy to drop down but will end up cracking fittings if i didnt try to stop fall with my fingers,   i like my fingers too much    , very bendy,  im 6.3in, 15 st.     i think they would wear out too quick.
getting ££££££ back   put towards pressure washer,   id probably pay for a second hand pair if cheap enough, at least i know now.

Best not to let each section crash down when collapsing ladder down , I hold each section and allow it to collapse under control .

Taking care and doing it slowly will ensure they last a long time i only use mine about 6 times a month . Mike

i personally wouldnt use telescopic ladders.

i still have my 3.5m 2 section trade ladders and a single 8ft pointer on my roof rack which come in handy from time to time.

as im 17 stone and 6ft 2in id rather have solid ladders!!

It does state on every rung to ' ensure that you place thumbs securely on the catches ' when dropping the ladder to allow you to keep your thumbs.
I'm 6' 4" and 13 stone and have had no issue with them over the last 15 months.
Mine were new on Ebay at £56 - don't think I'd trust any second hand ones though...

They're ideal for hopping gates and the odd flat roof,  I  wouldn't wanna be up them all day though;D
