Tds weird?
« on: February 18, 2013, 07:24:28 pm »
i have a static tank outside.checked tds going into tank was just 002.
Filled my tank in the van and tds in my van is 20.
So i emptied my static and started filling again.
Tds from ro is still 002.
Fill a bottle and its 018.turned meter off and tried again still 018.
Fill 2 more bottles and 002.
Its a new tds meter about a month old.
Any ideas why this is?
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

It could be your ro keep checking the water going into the tank.
the tds could be going up and down.

have you got a reference solution for the meter ??

where did you buy it ?  there are many fakes about - i always get mine from Daqua

is the 018 reading from the tank or direct from ro ?

maybe the tank is contaminated or the transfer pump/hose - what is the TDS in the holding tank when full ?

Possibly some crud in the tank and in one of the three bottles.

You don't need much.  When I test I always rinse out the glass I use with pure before taking the reading on a second fill.

Bought from vyair about a month ago.
Ive just ordered a inline tds from daqua.
Im checking the actual water in the 25 litres containers that have came out the static tanks.
Its got me stumped.
Ill try it with new meter and see what readings im getting then.
