ive just fitted a 350 litr wydale tank in a very heavy steel frame bolted in the back of a berlingo 800 for my son . filled it up yesterday for a test ride and i was disapointed at the movement of water, compared to the 2 x 175 litre tanks i have in my van which are un baffeled , But have 20 baffle balls in each tank as an after fitting , these are excellent at stopping any movement of water .
i Would not buy a baffled tank again but use multiples either the 125 or the 175 litre tanks which are un baffeld and retro fit baffle balls (buy from enduro max) .
Now i am trying to think of a way to retro fit baffles to this 350 litre tank what i think i will do is cable tie 2 one litre plant pots together and squeeze these through the 13 mm opening and fill the tank with these this should stop the water moving . by the way if you fit a steel frame into a van you are deemed to have modified the vehicle and
consequently the insurance company may have something to say .but if you use say for instance 3x175 litre tanks fitted with these baffle balls held in place securly you havent modified the vehicle
i think the water movement will be a lot less ,if the tanks are fastened to a bulkhead by heavy duty rachet straps i think it will be safe or safer than a tank frame
if your relying on what the tank manufacturers are providing you may be in for a shock
