Rotary on Ebay - anyone know these?
« on: February 14, 2013, 08:38:59 pm »
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121065085183?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619

I've not heard of the brand.

All I know for sure is that the phone numbers on here are pre - 1992 when the '1' was added after the zero in dialing codes.

looks very much like the one i used to have, i would say don't bother unless money is extremely tight, go for a truvox or something heavier, they are just to light.

plenty of good truvox's on ebay for not much more money, and when your ready contact jamie at csuk and he'll sort you out with brushes and tanks etc.....

Blimey Derek what do you mean by too light they weigh about 30Kg, well assuming they are the same as a victor sprite as Billy say's, must admit they look very similar.  Depends what your using it for but i would have thought for agitation of carpets or LM cleaning it would be fine, could even use it for hard floor restoration but yes it might be a bit on the light side for this.

Check with Victor if this is a badged out version of one of theirs, certainly looks like a 400 Sprite.

Def find out the speed before you buy, and double check whether by "pad" he means pads or drive board.

Bottom line is it depends what you want it for as to what speed you need. Best all rounder will be a standard speed. Weight wise this will be over 30Kg so OK for bonnetting and basic hard floor scrubbing / cleaning.

If Victor say it's one of theirs and the seller offers a bit of warranty then this looks a decent buy.

If you're not convinced and want one soon try A3 Machines, who will also sell you a used driveboard for this if required.

Just noticed the phone codes on the plate, this certainly shows up its age. All geographic codes were changed to include 01 as of 1995
