is it worth it

Hi guys at the moment I am a window cleaner. But where I live there is far too many of us and its not working how it should. At the moment I earn turnover about 1600 a month. Now I do have carpet cleaning backround and was just wondering whether its work selling up and starting out. Now I know this is a hard question but how long would you think it would take to start earning this kind of money and what ways would gain me the work quickly

Thankyou for your time

I can name at least 10 carpet cleaners who cover your area...

For what it is worth.... I would not sell up with the windy-ing... It would take you at least 1 year if not more to get up to the same earnings with carpet cleaning alone... Maybe as an add on to your windy custards??
Everyday this forum slips further from God.  :'(

why sell up? you could do both, how long does it take to do £400 of window cleaning?

a guaranteed £400 a week will help out in the beginning until you are established and straight away you have a bank of customer to sell your services to

A lot of carpet cleaners are going the other way and adding window cleaning to their business. Why throw away £1400. Add it to your existing business. Its the same customer base so the marketing costs will be somewhat reduced as you can just advise your existing customers you are now doing carpet cleaning.
I'm starting to find the cleaners who are thriving at the moment are the ones who are diversifying into different mediums, window cleaning, pressure washing etc.
