I've been in this game a little while too. I've seen people with little or no education build huge businesses from scratch. I've found that people who want to build empires go ahead and build them. Some want to just get by and earn a decent amount, and some want free time and a good income. What I don't get is, are these courses for guys that want an empire of commercial and domestics or just commercial or what?

All the whistles and bells are good for commercial and employing guys to work for you, but who needs these courses?

 i agree, just looked at the website you posted and no doubt it can be looked at and ripped to bits if compared to the letter of the ever increasing health and safety law but i personally thought it was pretty practical and showed a  common sense aproach

i got my system fitted on the friday , and on the monday i was out cleaning windows , i picked it up pretty easy , but as a complete newbie [ never even heard of C I U ] i would have felt a lot better if i had done a days training , so i think its a good idea , ian has helped me and plenty of others on here free of charge and im sure he will continue to do so , good luck ian and indeed david ,

Knowledge is power, which equates in window cleaning knowledge is money, if you know how to apply that knowledge.

Anyone can clean windows, the true knowledge makes the money.

Are these courses really offering knowledge, I dont think so, I would question the turnover and the length of time for the people offering these courses, especially those who are offering so called "Marketing"

I know Craig Mawlam is a good marketeer in Selling wfp systems, On his course he nearly hits the button on window cleaning marketing, but there are a few nuggets he doesnt offer.

The likes of Jv, and Allclean know them buttons, but I bet you top dollar they wont be offering that information on any course, guaranteed

give em a squeegee n a wetter n they are lost
sum guys dont even know how to wipe up
our job is about leaving the job clean
working to the customers satisfaction
not anything as diverse as open heart surgery
when the vast majority on this forum understand
that instead of saying  £8.00job is £15.00
then we may understand this thread #
