I fill at 45psi and get 100litres an hour. He's tripled his input already just by adjusting his waste,so this may need fine tuning to get more. I've had the same per filters for three years and they have never affected pressure, unless of course he may have a slight blockage but considering input and output is at the the top of the canister, I can't see it myself

The kit in the van was advertised as all 'brand new' so I hope they don't need changing. I really can't understand why I couldn't do this earlier but thank you so much for all your help, you lot are amazing  :D

One thing: when it's all connected and in the process of filtering (say adjusted at half a turn off fully open): if I adjust the stop cock/waste valve thingy just half a turn, the waste water almost stops. But when I readjust it (turning it back half a turn to starting position) there's still no waste water... bizarre?

you want to close the waste tap then open it 1/4-1/2 a turn not open it then close it 1/2 a turn. Basically you adjust the waste to get the optimum lowest output tds from your ro.

It still may need new prefilters. I found that a run of dirty water from a pipe burst and repair in the street could block the sediment filter in a few minutes. They aren't expensive and must be replaced regularily anyway.

I have also helped a mate out who has good water pressure and flow, but hadn't changed his prefilters in a while. The result was that hardly any water was getting through to the membranes.
