As it says on the tin. How do you judge the success of a business or person?

Anyone who's got of his backside and is running his business without Government handouts is a success in my eyes. The really good ones don't need to post their earnings or show us their cars, they just get on with the job. Some earn more than others, some work more than others but if we are all earning and paying our way then we are all successful.

Success to me is being able to do what I want to do
Simple as that. Having lots of money is irrelevant to me
The most important thing is having a life . I earn what I need
To do things.

To quote someone far more succinct than me "happiness is getting up in the morning, going to bed at night and doing what you want in between".

Well a quick check on the web defines success as:
The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
The attainment of popularity or profit.

So i guess you can judge it if you know what they set out to do. Or if you can see their popularity or profit?

I am with Dave Willis on this one, I like what you say Dave more so with cars and in the flash of a materialistic world we live. Do we really need to flash our success.

Which brings up the question of whether these flash materialistic things are a measure of success or debt?

Wimp you got that is one. Well done, you win a free week in the bowels of the earth. Sorry about crappy holiday, but you are so right its just amazing.

Sorry but the holiday was cancelled due to no flights.
I used to work in the property game in the U S and the way we judge financial success was the way the garden looked. As this item was the only think you could not buy on H.P.  By mortgage bond or loan. So true wealth was a great garden. Most other things you could buy with bank help. ;) ;) ;)
