What did you think of it ?

Did it take all day to do it or could it have been done quicker than a day eg WFP really need a whole day ?

I  have never been shown how to clean most is trial and error but i would imagine a dedicated course to cleaning windows can only be a good thing like the post about "leaded windows" and how to clean them, a course could alleviate many problems for newbies etc

I did the one day course ,as I needed the certificate as I have some contracts that need it ,it was most of the day in a class room,then an hour or so looking at poles then 5 min. Cleaning a window that gets cleaned many times on the corse  .all the class work could have been printed out ,and more time on the cleaning side

no colin what happens is if you go on the course your business becomes so successful you get to do the spinning in your chair thingy 

no seriously i did the course back in 2007/08 cant quite remember, i did all four of there course and to be fair they were pretty good, what ive said before is tho it seems pretty much the same content each course i.e marketing, trad skills, wfp cleaning, h and s but each time little more emphasis on the actual course

so say you book on marketing he goes over the same sort of stuff you get told on the wfp course but then goes into a bit more details on marketing, if i could afford to send my lads, and put them up and pay for travel id prob send them on it or if it was more local as it gives you a good understanding of wfp window cleaning

no im pretty sure the Fed have a course on spinning an office chair

I've done the wfp and marketing courses.

WFP was interesting, mostly knew it all already as had been using for over a year, just wanted the certificate really.  Ok for newbies, bit of a waste of time for anyone who knows what they're doing.

Marketing though, that was something.  Very good course, and the information was, to be honest, like gold dust to me.  craig explained in great detail exactly what to do to get commercial work, and (of most interest to me) high-end residential.

Say what you like about ionics and craig mawlam, but they know how to do marketing.

i must admit i think marketing is a bigger bonus than the cleaning side for a lot of people
but saying that because of the wide variety of poles,brushes etc an in depth section on this would be good

i did the risk assessment course through the federation and found it really useful.  lots of technical information on risk assessments and method statements that i wouldnt know otherwise.
