Ordering CLX today.
« on: February 05, 2013, 09:21:21 am »
Going for the 27ft, with a medium mixed dual trim sill brush. This will be for everyday use, as I believe you can take a couple sections off?

It also say's the weight is 1.8kg? Im not saying its not, but that seems crazy to be that light  ;D

How long do they take to arrive? Today would be lovely  ;D ;)

I'd be surprised if you ever need to remove sections from a 27ft CLX, I certainly don't. They are SO light anyway especially if you have been using a glass fibre pole previously. Mine was ordered Monday and delivered Wednesday I seem to remember.

as deeege says, you won't need to remove any sections, light enough as it is to use all day, same goes for my smax40.

Not sure what it was Deeege, I havent checked the closed lengths but im sure clx will be shorter than my current pole, so your prob right about not removing sections.

Ben, is the extreme a sill brush tho? as im a big fan of giving top sills a good scrub, not just a little wipe  ;)

I have a clx22 and clx27. Both good value poles and the 22 makes a good daily pole.

Personally would not want to use the 27 daily (I find it noticeably heavier). You may think the weight is manageable but the extra strain it puts on ligaments and tendons makes you much more prone to RSI.

As for taking a section off I would not want to do that with positive end stops.

With the free brush though, you may as well buy an slx22 than a clx22.

I like my clx22 but I do think slx (or similar) is the way forward.

I use the 27 for flats etc and it is a decent pole, however the 22 is much lighter.

I plan to get slx or similar later this year though.

My guys use 27' clx all day everyday, they are a great everyday pole with no need to remove sections, when we first started the pole were heavy today they are really lite, super lite even  ;D

RSI is mainly caused by poor technique

Recieved my clx 27f today... really happy with it, and I cant see the issue with the weight for an everyday pole... time will tell, but ita a dam sight lighter than my current one and more rigid.

Told ya so  ;)

I was the one that told you to get that pole and remove the sections and buy a couple of caps for them , i only said this as it very much depends on your type of work , some could buy a 22 and use it all day every day for 29 days of the month and on day 30 need the extra section , my point was that why use extra sections for all but one day a month , i have the 27 and dont break it down as my work is so varied it wouldnt be viable , but i always like to think ahead !

You are gonna love your job tomorrow though !!
