One of our commercial common parts contracts was lost last week when a new client purchased the property (the new managing agents have their own company) and I got an angry and mildly abusive call from one of the tenants on Friday who told me that since my cleaners had elected to take all of the equipment out of the cleaning cupboards and leave it in the corridor, she'd authorised a company to throw it all into the skip.
One phone call later, turns out that we'd taken our equipment the night before and the equipment which had been disposed of belongs to the incoming company who had been waiting for the cupboard keys to be issued by the new managing agents - I'm not going to phone the tenant since it's no longer any of my business but suspect that her company are going to be paying a fairly large replacement equipment bill.
