Which hose and lance and where from please.
« on: February 03, 2013, 10:24:19 am »
Looking for a longer hose for my pressure washer and new lance etc.
Pressure washer is gx340 with inter pump @15lpm.

Ideally after a 15 mt hose.
And a new lance with a turbo nozzle.  Which ones best for me.
its mainly for domestic drives/patios to use aswell as a whirl away.

My lance is currently a bit short as I am 6ft 2" it is also a dual lance.

Any pointers /advice gratefully received .

Get a catalogue and everything is in there - You can get the gun with longer tubes to suit your height

Standard trigger £15

800mm lance £9.60

05 Turbo nozzle £28

That's your standard option that's easy for you to buy online. We use quick release spigots on the trigger (ST2600) as we change to soap lance, 12" mosmatic and 21" mosmatic and even another lance with fan nozzle on for rinsing, all without turning machine off, nice and simple. I prefer a 1200mm lance and I'm 5'11". Lee Kenny likes a 200mm lance.  ;D

Turbos at exchange are around £50 upwards.

I think yours are the medium ones like in the link.

http://www.washdownsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Midi_quick_release_couplings.html

I use the bigger ones, but want to set my guns up like lee. Im sick of turning the machine off to change from whirlaway to lance. But the whirlaway fitting is 3/8 thread and the gun is 1/4 thread. Suppose I could get a reducer.

You tool...  ;D I use a 1200mm actually, haha, it's better being my height as i'm closer to the ground so i can see what I'm cleaning better, haha  ;D
I would go for a 1200 mm (4foot) lance or maybe even a 1500mm (5 foot) lance considering your  6foot 2 height mate

Kew spiggots are great for faster working, less down time

These go on your lance

Or if using on a FSC, use a couple of fittings, male male 1/4 to 3/8 and a 3/8 female to M22 male. We have this screwed onto Mosmatic female M22 and leave attached.

Then our triggers are:

Little tip before you waste a lance...

If you're gonna be buying a standard trigger and lance and you want to put your own bend on the end of the lance, ptfe tape your lance end that is to be screwed in the trigger, screw it in until tight then make the bend in vice. So bend after it's tight to trigger not before you attach as you could be bent upwards when tight.

This won't be a problem if using spigots as they can be turned in the trigger, which comes in handy.

@blastaway
I know I'm a windie scrubber with no return value info wise.
But if possible could you make me a shopping list to what I need if you get 5 mins?

Gx 340 as bare.

I'm after a new hose 15mt then all the bits right through to turbo nozzle inc trigger , quick release spigots and 800mm bent lance.
Rotary machine is 18" whirlaway.
What is everything I need to make this happen lee.  Pleeeaaassssssseee.  ;)

 hi
out of interest what hose are you using. i have 30 meters of the thick one inch black stuff in 10 meter lengths.

its very unweildy and hard to use, i notice many use the thinner stuff.

 cheers

We use a 'tough cover' hose (for roofs) very thin plus non marking but no good for high temps, I think its rated to around 110 c.. only draw back its expensive 2x plus norm price, if interested will post details
