Rescued 2 roofers this week
« on: February 02, 2013, 08:19:11 am »
Taking the rubbish out the other day and heard a noise, 2 blokes on a roof right at the top near the chimney on a terrace so quite high up. It was wet and they were slipping all over (no cat ladder) my first thoughts were "these 2 don't know what they're on wi" Next, ladder comes crashing down (if it wasn't for a very strong washing line it would have smashed the kitchen window) So being the good citizen  I put the ladder up and footed till they got down. To my surprise they had it on natural slate leaning against the gutter, couldn't believe they got up in the first place. This was a professional looking firm sign written van etc. Made me glad to be off ladders  ;D

No cat ladder and ridgehook.
Wet roof tiles.
Didn't have a person footing the ladder or a sufficient method of securing the ladder.
Were they also dead from the neck up?  :P
