Hi,when i used to switch on my pump the water used to flow at the brush head straight away,but just recently it does not. I switch on and have to wait and even then that doesnt always work. In that case i have to disconnect the hose fitting to the reel until the water starts to flow and then reconnect. Only then do i get sufficient flow but when i switch off for a time i have to repeat the process.The batterey is not the problem as i have checked this.  Any ideas?

is your dead end set ok ? temps affects this and it has been warmer the last few days.

Hi,i dont use any controllers as i got fed up with them breaking down(tried loads,i liked the manual v/stream but when they all started to go digital i lost faith}

Sounds like an airlock Steve...... Are the pump connections tight? Pump too high?

I agree.  Try and get your pumps as low as possible to the van floor and make sure your connections are good 'n' tight.

I havnt changed anything,but will try what you suggested. By the way my connection for the tank is at the top and always has been!( what i mean is that the hose goes into the top of the tank.

stevie I have had this problem lately, its air getting in somewhere.
Do you have a di on board the van after your pump ? what connections do you use ? I changed to john guest push fit and 15 mm plastic pipe for all but di to hose reel (1/2" hose on a barbed outlet from di and a hoselock onto reel). My system is fully pressured up and leak free, infact its working the best it ever has along with a flow controller with shorter simplified wiring to the battery and pump, no more fluctuations in flow and fiddling about !

Then its the hoselocks !
try replacing the o rings, better still put a proper tank outlet in at bottom of tank with john guest fittings and plastic 15mm pipe to pump, barbed outlet from pump jubilee clip and 1/2" hose to reel connected with a hoselock , job done

Replace your hozelock connectors. I had same problem and it was this.

I have.a tap just after my pump, which I use to fill buckets up. Whenever theres airlock normally caused by driving around woth near empty tank. I jus switch on pump, open the tap, water comes out steady,  close tap, issue solved

What type of pump you using ? shurflo as a grub screw on the bottom which you can adjust , flojet as a screw you can adjust .

That's a simple but good idea, thanks.  I'll probably get around to doing it in the next few years.  Good idea though.
