put a heater in the back of the van mate and you ll have no problems.

i see this weather as a challenge instead of "i hate working in cold weather".its all about attitude and being organised with decent waterproof warm clothing.

since going wfp i find winter a breeze compared to trad(i was for 16 years!).

i use a cold system and it still allows me to work up to -2.any lower then i dont bother.its very rare its below -2 in the parts of the country where i work(manchester) in the day.

could install the L5 heater in the garage and fill the barrels up first thing in the morning, that way they can be nice and hot nearly all day for you!

not dangerous if wired up the right way using the right graded wire etc, other wise it could burn out the elcectrics and could set fire to van or house! or both!

ever used a gas bbq???
the gas just fits like that, then water pumped from the static tank through heater and out into barrels.

avo i just put an oil filled radiator in the back of my van via extension lead through my letterbox overnight!it cost me £45 two years ago.costs me around £1-50 in electric per night.van doors lock.no problem.

i bring my pumpbox and reel in overnight.everything else stays in the van.

well worth it IMO as it allows me to get a decent days work in the next day.

i guess what I mean by all these questions is drying times on glass aswell.. Something that won't freeze on glass or take the whole to dry.

Sometimes buy the time you finish the house the first window is dry, and not had any water freeze on the glass yet,

1 Kw aquarium heater works great i have my tank in the shed and it works great water is about 15-20 degrees in the morning , Need to insulate it so water gets up to about 40 degrees .

Might chuck a cheap water pump in to help circulate water which will evenly distribute heat . Mike
