I'm sure we all have our fair share of strange people we clean for, but can anyone beat one of the ladies I do. She insists that I phone her a day or so before I go so that she can 'clean her windows before I get there'. Believe it or not it's because she says she is embarrassed to have them dirty when I go.

How strange is that then.

Yes i also have one that cleans her windows b4 i get to hers
i do three in a row i do the others first so she can i am there then as i am cleaning the others she says hi and off she go's cleaning all the frames and all the top openers (dont know why just them ones)so when i get to hers i just have to dust them off nice £15 and tea and bic bics  the second one is this lady stopped me in the street and said can i wash her windows i said no as i had so much work at the time she kept on so i gave in went round the next day, all it was is 2 small windows on her bungalo so i went in high as i dont want the job she said fine so i started to clean them when i had finished she came out to pay me she then said i will give you £8.50 so i said great then she said she wants them done once a week ok i said   then back the next week to clean    i had just finished     she came out to pay and said she was going to give me £10 from now on    happy days   then at christmas she got my 2 kids a prezzy and me and the wife one and a bottle of wine   and she also gets  birthday prezzys for us all    and mine is on wednesday so i cant wait

  I have a customer whose next door neighbour is very strange, I think she really shouldn't be living on here own, anyway when I go round she always comes out to do her identical house and races me, she has a pole with a mop on it and just runs round and wets all the windows then shouts to me she is finished and dissapears again!! Words fail me every month!!

One of my customers has another window cleaner as well.  That could prove awkward now that I've switched to WFP because he uses fairy liquid and I will be having to fight against his cleaning when I use the pure water syatem.

She says it's because windw cleaners can be unreliable so she wants to ensure that she has one.

Are there any normal customers out there ? That should be the question. When you do a job that deals with the general public you realise that lots of people are a bit odd.

I had one lady that wouldn't come out and used to poke the money out through the letter box.

Oh yes and there were a middle aged couple on Park Lane Harrow who were nudists and went around all day with no clothes on. They never went out the front like it but would walk around the house and garden.
You soon got used to it but it was a bit of a suprise at first.

We have one customer who cleans his windows the day before we clean them.

We have another who prays while we do them.

And another real odd bod who sits in his car while we clean his windows. I never ask why. When we're done, I tap on the window of his car, he winds it down half an inch and pushes the money through the gap. He always seems happy enough and we've been doing his windows monthly for 3 years now.

I have an o.a.p called marge, she is a geat old woman who makes nastey home made mince pies and waches me eat them :S but the oddest thing was just before xmas she brought out a rampint rabbit.
