paloma boiler any good

as above wondering if they are any good iv bought one second hand as oposed to a cheap chinese one that i nearly bought. lol wondering if anyone uses the paloma boiler ? cheers

How can U tell the difference? The item number for eBay is in my other thread about ventilating the boiler

Its the ph-5 I think the name is the picture of the exchange unit on eBay is the exact one the item number for it is in the other thread
let me know what U think hopefully better than a fony china job lol

Which country is it manufactured in?
I think they run with a pilot light on all the time - could be wrong.

im not sure to be honest if the pilot light runs all the time how much gas am i likely to use in a day? also is butane ok to use ? and one more thing what gas regulator will i have to get for the bottle. thanks for the help guys

butane is pointless if you are buying it to run in freezing weather (it freezes) you need propane and the appropriate propane regulator.

The Chinies one heat exchanger is so thing you could rap you sanies in it. I have had a go and fixing 2 I have but they are not made to last. The chaps who have bought will soon find out they do not last.If you get through this winter do are doing well.Some one here said yesterday that Lee Pryer bought 2 but believe they will find out his no expert.The are like a car fender shiny on the outside and crap on the inside. They are a total rip off.

Apparently spares are hard to come by

Spares are hard to find cos the heater is no longer made , sorry Dean , i found out last night !
Thats why the bloke on ebay is doing the refurbs and buying up all the second hand units out there .

aww i see hopefully it will last a wile if it breaks im sticking to immersion heaters, what gas regulator do i need for it? thanks

oh and to answer the question the other day the main burner shuts of when no water flow but the pilot light remains lit, i could always turn it of in between long drives otherwise its gunna be on a wile anyway lol
