Productive day - 2man setup
« on: January 18, 2013, 05:34:06 pm »
Well, we were running a 2man wfp , but a while back, one of the pumps 'concked' and we never really got round to sorting it out.

So we were only using 1pole

This morni.g, after filling the tank with 300litres of hot water, I discovered our remaining pump was not doing its job. :(

We had been given a 2nd hand pump a while back, so I thought a quick swap & away we go... Nope...

So we went to a place that services/sales pressure washers, thinking they might know a bit. He just.suggested mounting the pump lower down, which made sense. So off we went, and done so, BINGO bavk in action.

As the tumbleweed was blowing around my head, I tbought maybe, just maybe that.if we mount the 2nd broken pump a bit lower, then that.will be bavk in action ;D

Yep it worked, something sooo simple, and.our 2man is back in action.

When the better weather comes, we gonna strip the van, redo the protecktacote and have a rearrange, maybe incorporate a hot system.

How can you run a 2 man set up and "never quite get round to fixing the second pump"?

Surely having 2 pumps working is fundamental to running 2 setups?

Because we are not 100% wfp

The rounds where we were wfp'ing, one of us just did the tops. And the other tradded the ground floor.

I made the same mistake; didn't put my pumps low down, and got messed around for a bit till Alex G sorted my little mistake out.

But get a bigger tank, if your vehicle allows it - don't faff about with a squeegy - just do everything you can with a WFP.  It's quicker.

Good tip about moving the pump down a little though.

We have a 650 but only needed 300 for todays work, as it was only a little bit of 'leftovers'

We tried the 100% wfp before but we might try again when.i finLly get round to getting an ro setup, as.were on DI only at the mo
