We've all stood on roofs like this in our trad days but as you get older or are wfp you realise life is too short to take unessersary risks! ???

Tragic for the mans family.

His wife expressed concern because the porch roof was 'slippery', but he still went up there.  I guess it was a pitched roof.

In the wrong hands ladders are dangerous, many times I've seen people using ladders in unsafe ways especially at this time of year putting up and taking down decorations but I'm loath to interfere and get told to mind my own business!

Unfortunately this will become part of the annual statistics and impact on everyone who uses a ladder properly.

Leave ladder work to the professionals and fishermen.

They idiots , I seen 2 last week clambering all over a roof to clean .
For the sake of a fiver and they even laughed at me when they seen me using the wfp for the tops .

Had 1 guy say to me before " whats wrong you scared of using a ladder "

I had that where your ladder you can't be a proper wc' just laugh, pick up six jobs because their old cleaner kept breaking tiles when he walked on them to reach windows. Real shame someone lost their life taking down decorations from their house

ladders are safe if you're sensible

I say 50% of my work is done using ladders and not once I had accident, I never go higher than 2 story anyway.
