Running costs lot higher than window cleaning so in my mind even more important to have a minimum price in place.

Do you think in region of £50 ish about right for the tiny jobs ?

 It costs me £20 to go out the door before i start. Coffee,bacon sandwich,diesel,petrol,kleenezzeee catalogue.....

if its just one job in the day I won't hook up the bowser washer and load the van  for less than £120, if I've got more  jobs to do then I go down to £80

but I find a minimum price irrelevant as most pressure cleaning jobs are not small enough to need a qualifying  minimum amount.

I think I must do then mate. I get some that take about 15/20 mins to whirl-a-way, do the edges and rinse and say just give us £30. That's if their on the door step or if it's a neighbour to one we're already doing. Anything further a field you compensate your travel, clearly.

I often do these "quick" jobs but i don't take the money. One it sets a precedent about the cost and {two} i always think of it as a cheap advert as they are talking about there freebie for months. This is providing that it is a five minute job and is no hardship on my behalf.Otherwise i tell them i have no time now but i will gladly price for the job but there is a minimum charge.

that's why I asked question as don't want to be cheap and defo not treating it as an add on ----, not intentionally too cheap.

Yes, give me a minute and I'll cost it for you, it's going to be the same as this one as the size is the same, tell them the price, and then you get, "oh I thought you could do it for say £50.00" er no it's the same size as this one, and how will my original client feel/think? if I do your's for £50.00 and they have just paid X.

I'm with everyone else that consider this to be a legitimate trade and have value for what I do but the OP was for a minimum price for a tiny job. I have a regular customer who got me in to wash sewage that had back flowed into a drop pit - 20 mins job, on the way past and I had to go in to price some pigeon netting, £49 bonus on top of that days takings. I'm happy and so is the customer. Obviously it's a different matter if it's a drive to, set up, do and drive home - I'm not yet registered as a charity

You should consider it 
As long as you are both happy  But how much would another company of charged for clearing down sewage   

I dont think price is 'that' relevant as it differs vastly depending on your location - However I dont know of any other 'tradesman' when asked for something extra would not charge - Hence anything 'extra' incurs an additional cost.

But surely roger you have no travelling and set up costs so you could do significantly cheaper than the original job, especially if it takes the work upto a full day so you can pack up and go home.

You could always give a discount to your first customer so they will be chuffed but up overall?

Without knowing the full details, your reply looks ok, but the situation was this 20 odd front drives all the same size average cost £250.00 per drive (small private estate), so someone asking for a £50.00 is taking the p*ss, oh and he did pay full price in the end as he got grief from the rest of the homeowners for not having his cleaned.
