anyone else have a high tds of 380ppm
« on: January 06, 2013, 12:05:37 pm »
I get my water from a bore hole the tds is 380ppm
Even though we live in cornwall usually soft water.
I used to get water from a family member (soft water 86ppm) so only used di before.
I have a gardiners ez pure ro which reduces it down to 2 - 10ppm any ideas of how long the membranes would last? I flush them after every fill up of 350 litres approx i'll use about 1500 litres a week.

As i have never had an ro im a bit short of knowledge about them.

Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig,
Is your set up pumped or are you getting it from 380 down to 2 - 10 just from mains pressure, also at those figures how much does it produce in an hour and what membrane do you have

Many thanks

What sort of pressure do you have down there? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect before I buy one. My Tds in is about 375 and water pressure is 40/50 psi, from your experience what would you say my Tds could be after Ro
Many thanks
