just check google maps and i can't see any problems with doing a screen shot of google maps to be honest.

Not sure why you do stuff like this. You've intimated its illegal to copy website images (which generally it is) then you've reproduced this snippit of text to back up your assumption that he can't use google maps screen shots . You're supposed to be some sort of web guru, you should know this stuff. It looks to me (and i'm no web guru) that he can indeed use the stuff he wants to use as long as he attributes Google for it. Infact there's a tool to enable you to work it out and not guess............

im not sure were you got im some sort of web guru but I grabbed that quickly from google map terms of use more to make a point you cannot just screen grab images online (which you can't without doing more )
Do this on any image in the Getty liabary and see what happens ( you will mot know till its to late ) I say this because I have done this years back without knowing and got a court letter for over 2 grand for using an image with permission, my putting this earlier would have made Paul look into it more (job done) and then you did to, excellent. That's two people thinking about it. Hopefully it helps others too.

You misunderstood me.

What I meant was just post a link or embed the google maps code into his website.  Perfectly legal, perfectly doable and all tickerty boo..
