So completed works @ the Bretton Centre in Peterborough yesterday.

High level cleaning to the bullnose, underside of the storefront canopy, columns & the feature fins.

I'd packed it in last year, went and got a 'normal job' with the thinking of just doing occasional works.

Absolutely flat out, been to Tesco Sunbury, Tesco Leighton Buzzard and now I'm at Sainsbury's Leamington Spa - just this week.

Quoted works in Banbury, Swindon & two more quotes to do this morning.

A 'large job' with the purchase order given yesterday that could only be an 'I'll try and fit it in before Christmas, if that's ok?'

Difficult to see the 1st picture and how dirty it was, 4 of these - black with algae/moss build up.

So the works on this store were initially evenings/nights and were just after the clocks went forward.

No problem - done a million times before - piece of cake.





Done over two nights - Tarmac walkway and cladding from the ground, up to 4 metres.

Never checked the work in the daylight after the 1st night. Flying on the project, no issues.

What I woke up to when it was checked after night 2 -



A really fine layer of moss that I just couldn't see, streaking on the cladding that I couldn't see because of all the shadows.

Spoke to the site manager, went onto days & you can see where I'd got halfway back up it on the 3rd day.

Do you use any extra lighting - I did a couple of Aldi stores mid winter I hated working in the dark

Not really mate.

If I'm high level maybe a head torch but not been caught like this before.

On the side of stores they usually have block or slab paving and you can see the difference.

Like you not really up for nightshifts, don't do many a year, mainly on fuel stations but they're well lit.

On a rural bus station job we did years ago we purchased   LED lights on stands that run off 110v and a generator .  I cant see in the day never mind working at night

What did you use  on the walls, the effervescing, on the stone patio, was it a full window clean as well.

If I bought that the man hole in the back garden would really p*ss me off.
