Caustic liquor  to soften the carbonation of the sandstone and burn the skin . Followed by  Phosphoric acid mixed with Hydrofluoric acid and a little splash of glycolic Acid . Then washed in DIDECYLDIMETHYLAMMONIUM CHLORIDE.

You're right mate, I'd lose money on them downspouts that need repainting!!!

Gutters/downspouts are all getting replaced.

Roofs coming off ,then we are back to clean it.
Burnt/damaged slates ? We have not damaged the lead (which is to come off) so it's hardly likely we have  damaged the slate.

Fair comment ....we were limited by a 6k budget to clean the whole building.  So we did struggle with using cheaper products and working off ladders etc.
