Darren some great results there pal. If I can ask mate the last picture with the fance panel and wall did you use hypo? It looks like new. Top job

Yes I used hypo on the caps, just to get that extra clean look and I used it on the panels to kill the algae after washing down with a 15 degree nozzle. The wall was just full blast turbo

See that's what laziness gets you, a piccy of a not quite so perfect finish, but I thought it good enough for you guys!

Not knocking you Darren, I just have an eye for detail.
Re the Sandstone photos, cleaned, then hypo, long dwell time due to the amount of lichen, cleaned off again and that was it. The after photo is the next morning, so surface is dry and that's how good the paving looked, not just from the clean but decent Sandstone, even though it is bit busy pattern wise.

Ref the sandstone, I was led to believe you couldn't use hypo on sandstone ? Is their a criteria/guidelines for using hypo on sandstone?

You can use hypo on sandstone, like you can use it on any other hard surface. It wont affect the sandstone. Just use the same hypo rules regarding run off/plantlife etc..

As Matt has said it's fine to use on Sandstone,  just don't use Hydrochloric acid (Brick Acid) on Sandstone or any natural stone for that matter. In fact before you use an Acid check to see if the stone will take the use of X acid, some do some don't. Alkaline's are usually fine though.
