Thanks jettaway - i didnt actually use any hypo however i think to get a perfect result on the top one some hypo would have to be used as theres a couple of black spots still there.

Andy, good luck mate! Remember your wellys and waterproof trousers. I didnt and came home soaked - its a yanmar diesel 15lpm 200bar. I purchased it off Rob it was one of the 3 he had for sale.

Mitch

Oh right, wow, patio was that black and there was no lichen, fair play.. Wish more of my jobs were like that :-)

Guess i got lucky lol. How would u go about it if u had to use hypo on that area? Just for future reference.

Mitch

What type of pressure washer have you got?

Did you use any chemicals on it?

Andy

Algae removal from house ready for re-painting - algoclear left for 24 hrs then washed off
Finish wasn't normal render, but a sprayed on acrylic paint type stuff

That's some good work Smudger, how much product did you go through?

Did you wash off with pressure or just use the flow from a pressure washer?

How did you get algo clear to foam?

Rob that's the picture I wanted to post, I cleaned inside the box, didn't go over the lines either :)

I made it slightly stronger than directed ie. 30 to 1 instead of 40 to 1

Yes we still had to pressure wash off using vario nozzle on quite a wide angle, it all came off without any hassle, although the chimneys were awkward as the telescopic lance was rubbish  ::)roll

I not sure if using the algoclear made it easier to remove or not ( lack of experience ) but the builder specified a fungicidal wash, so that's what he got.

1 hour to apply, and it took 4 hours to wash down

Isn't it supposed to foam ???   Used brand new back pack, so no chance of any g101 residue from previous work..

Sorry jet away I used about 1.5 litres of algoclear

Was it the algoclear pro. Did it remove a lot of the algae on its own or did that take a bit of work with the lance afterwards?

Yes was the pro version

No didn't take any off, but it was a quick brush on, yes it came off (all of it) with a single pass of the lance
