Yes it looked strange - the scope was to clean up any customer facing areas. This was definitely customer facing.

It was finished on an expansion line down the brickwork, which made it quite tidy.

Yes it is just pressure washing - I just cannot use chemicals on these works.

To get their use past the principal contractor & then Tesco just wouldn't happen.

I think in the last 12 years I've probably only used chemical no more than 5 times, this being one of them -



This is hand cleaning to a Tesco carwash glass partition - covered in deposits from the water over the years.

There was a lot of it, we had to clean both sides and it took forever but the results took it from opaque to clear.

There is a piece of glass in the main section you are looking through. They were all like the piece to the right of the picture.

Cerium oxide - it's a powder for polishing.

Bit of water with it makes a paste and then have arms like a windmill, hard work!

I have been using it for years, we sell tons of the stuff it’s virtually identical to Jewellers Rouge but it’s not red.  We use it to get fine scratches out of stone.

Do the crowd you hire boom off of provide operator for it Mike or do you have to havr your own tickets to operate it

We hire the lift plus an operator.

yes - we all have Ipaf

the cost of a days course is the equivilent to a days hire of an operator, so I think its well worth getting a ticket

Cheers Darran. Ive a bungalow to clean in few weeks so wont need that but im going to try the pressure wash method on roof. Previously ive always just scraped and spray but going to give it a go here. Massive market for roof cleaning over here but the hire of booms etc has previously put my off and ive just stuck to bungalows and dormers which i do from the ground
